Supervised unloading begins at 7:15 a.m. and will continue until 8:00 a.m. Please do not drop your child off before 7:15 a.m. The doors will remain locked until 7:15 a.m. Always drop your child off in the front of the building. Please do not drop your child off in the bus unloading area.
Please come inside the building to the front desk. We will call your child up to the office. If it is after 2:00 p.m., we will not be able to do this. Also, bring in your identification if you want to check out your child early.
What if my child needs to go home a different way in the afternoon.
Always send a note to your child's teacher. No changes of transportation will be taken over the telephone for security reasons. We will give your child a change of transporation notice from the office after we receive a note from you.
If your child is going home with another student, you must write a note and the "receiving" parent must write a note. We need to make sure both parents know about this situation.
For detailed information, please read your child's Bartow County Schools' Student Handbook. In a nutshell, the law states that more than five unexcused absences per semester constitutes truancy.
Also, please keep in mind if you want your child to be awarded a perfect attendance certificate at award's day, excessive tardies or early checkouts do not constitute perfect attendance.
