What if my child needs to go home a different way in the afternoon.

Always send a note to your child's teacher. No changes of transportation will be taken over the telephone for security reasons. We will give your child a change of transporation notice from the office after we receive a note from you.
If your child is going home with another student, you must write a note and the "receiving" parent must write a note. We need to make sure both parents know about this situation.
For detailed information, please read your child's Bartow County Schools' Student Handbook. In a nutshell, the law states that more than five unexcused absences per semester constitutes truancy.
Also, please keep in mind if you want your child to be awarded a perfect attendance certificate at award's day, excessive tardies or early checkouts do not constitute perfect attendance.
