 The AMS Reading Tigers program is an exciting, highly motivating reading rewards program! Our goal is to promote enjoyment of reading and build lifelong readers in an ongoing process that rewards students for reading achievement. Students have fun reading and earning prizes as they meet one of their required standards for English/Language Arts.
By the end of school year '08-'09, our 728 students had read and passed quizzes on 19,819 books. That's an average of 27.2 books read per student.
When school year '09-'10 ended, our 719 students had read and passed quizzes on 22,396 books. That's an average of 31.1 books read per student. During school year '10-'11, our 750 students read and passed quizzes on 24,419 books, averaging 32.6 books read per student. This past school year, '11-'12, our 748 students read and passed quizzes on 25,190 books, averaging 33.7 books read per student! We believe "The More You Read, The More You Know", and we are very proud of our students' accomplishments in Reading. |
