If your child as a medical problem such as asthma, heart problems, seizures, or a severe allergy that may require medication at school, please request a Medical Fragile Form to complete. These forms let both me and your child's teachers know the nature of your child's health problem and how you want it to be treated. You must send the appropriate medication to deal with the specified medical emergency. If your child does not require medication at school, you do not need to fill out a Medical Fragile Form - simply note the problem on the Student Health Form. If there are any changes in your child's condition, please contact the school nurse as well as the child's teacher.

Unfortuantely, lice are a problem nationwide. Anyone can get lice, and children are at a higher risk because they often play with their heads touching one another, and they share personal items. If your child has lice or nits, you will be called to come pick them up immediately. Your child's head should be free of lice and nits before returning to class. Check your child's head at least once a week for head lice. Please contact the school nurse if your child has head lice and remember to let the nurse check your child before readmission to school. Please understand that absences due to lice are considered unexcused.
